What is it about? understand why managing money is important, why it is difficult (especially behaviour and social challenges), practise the main tools to better control expenses and debts and to save budget, tracking, expense categories, goals setting, spending limit…), discover training material and techniques to help low income people better manage their money.

What will you learn? By the end of the workshop, you will have a clear idea on how to better manage your own money and how to share your knowledge and involve your family. You will know how to analyse your target clients' financial issues and choose what training sessions would be most relevant to their clients and adapt the various training programmes and materials that you will get access to. You will get confidence in running a participatory training on financial education and address your clients’ reluctance to change their financial habits. You will identify how to include financial education in your existing programmes and improve attendance and impact.

This workshop exists in various formats, depending on your target group: youth, factory workers, rural low income adults. All formats include practise sessions where you will facilitate a session.

What is it about? get basic knowledge, tools, training examples and techniques to help low income clients find ideas to generate income and set up a profitable business and help clients who already have little shops or businesses make or improve their profit and have a positive impact on their communities.

What will you learn? By the end of the workshop, you will review or learn basic business knowledge and gain confidence in facilitating technical points (margin, breakeven, cash, bookkeeping, profit) with simple examples; you will learn how to engage clients with lively and fun business training workshops, identify how to help your clients find ideas to make a living and impact their families and communities, support your clients at each step of their business project, encourage ethical behaviour and practises, address the challenges of family relationships when money and business are involved. You will get confidence in running a participatory training on business.

This workshop includes examples and business cases from various industries (small shops, agriculture, craft, food, services...).
